Services for Janie Marie McAdams, 76, of Shepherd, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas and will be officiated by Bro. Darrell McAdams. Interment will follow at Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2023at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston.

Janie was born March 19, 1947 in Henderson County, Texas and passed away September 11, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Thomas Scott and Laura E. (Attaway) Scott; sisters, Marie Crawford and Myrtle Hughes; and brother, Floyd Scott.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Barrazo of Shepherd, Texas; sons, Donald McAdams of Shepherd, Texas and Lonnie McAdams of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Michelle Engle, of Livingston, Texas and LaShonda McAdams of Coldspring, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 43 great grandchildren; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Roger Wells, Donald McAdams III, Clifford McAdams, James "Bubba" Stroud II, Sam Hopkins, Blake Sprinkles, Eric Johnston, K.J. Falls, and Micah McAdams.
