Funeral services for Jay Fron Hales, 68, of Livingston, Texas will be held Wednesday, February, 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery in Diboll, Texas. Visitation will take place Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Jay was born December 15, 1956 in Livingston, Texas and passed away February 13, 2025 in Livingston. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hales and Lila Faye Goldman; brother, Richard Hales; in-laws, Bill and Phyllis Stutts; and stepfather, Charles Weaver.

He is survived by his loving wife, Harriett Hales; son, Jay Hales II and wife Taylor; daughter, Jacinda Lewis and husband Billy; grandchildren, Jesse Hales Price, Joe Lewis, Justin Hales, Hailey Lewis, Jacob Hales, Zane Lewis, Jewel Hales, Jayce Avery Hales, Jordan Hales, Zachary Abbott, and Paisley McLoud; great grandchildren, Beaux Price, Westin Price, and 2 others on the way; sisters, Lora Elizabeth Bedford and husband Johnny and Maxine LaFour and husband Dink; and brother, Wesley Hales and wife Debbie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
