Graveside services for J.C. Richey, 84, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Jason Sandefer officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Richey was born on November 15, 1932 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Joseph Richey and Nancy Novella (Hester) Richey, and passed away on May 17, 2017 in Cleburne, Texas. During his life, J.C. proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his service in the military, he went on to retire from Dow Chemical in Freeport, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joanne Richey; grandsons, Eric and David; brothers, Herman and Marvin; sisters, Hazel, Velma, Estelle, and Avis; as well as many good friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Morton; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Winston Cox; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Carol Richey; step-daughter, Debbie Page and husband, Michael; granddaughters, Melisa, Ashley, Michaelanne, and Jordan; grandsons, Zack, Jared, and Daniel; great-grandchildren, Christian, Rachel, Sarah, Riley, and Rebecca; sister, Thelma Clawson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
