Funeral services for J.C. ""Robbie"" Robbins, age 76, of Livingston will be held Tuesday January 27, 2009 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Chaplain Monty Montgomery officiating and interment to follow in the Houston National Cemetery at 2:30pm. Visitation will be at Cochran Funeral Home Monday January 26, 2009 beginning at 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Pallbearers will be the Houston Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff' Department Honor Guard, Honorary Pallbearers will be the retired Houston Police Department, Polk County Sheriff' Department, Adams Investigation and the Scenic Loop Volunteer Fire Department.

Robbie was born July 5, 1932 in Coolidge, Texas the son of James Robbins and Annie Sue Armstrong Robbins, and passed away Saturday January 24, 2009 in Lufkin, Texas.

He graduated Lamar High School and attended the University of Houston. He worked for the Polk County Sheriff' Department for 8 years and retired from the Houston Police Department after 27 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Robbins and Annie Sue Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Virginia Robbins of Livingston, James & Cynthia Robbins, son & daughter in law of Livingston, Terry & Tina Robbins, son & daughter in law of Willis, Texas, Karen & Joe Savelle, daughter & son in law, of Houston, and Paula & John O?ÇÖFarrell, daughter & son in law of Spring, Texas, grandchildren, Samantha Williams, Jennifer Robbins, Kevin Savelle, Jacob O?ÇÖFarrell, Kelly O?ÇÖFarrell, and great grandchildren, Paige Williams, Katelyn Williams, Logan Savelle, and Casey Driggers, Joe & Myrna Robbins, brother & sister in law, of Livingston, Jerry & Nicki Jean Robbins, of Livingston and numerous nieces & nephews also survive.
