Funeral services for Jean Hamon, age 83 of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Vivian, Louisiana with Rev. Richard Beeman officiating the services. Pallbearers are: Shane Moore, Kevin Hale, Ronnie Hindsman, Ben Hindsman, Jason Hamon and Terry Luedtke. Interment will take place in the Good Exchange Cemetery in McLeod, Texas.

Jean was born on February 7, 1929, in Cass County, Texas to parents, Marcus Holmes Hindsman and Alma Beatrice (Scarbrough) Hindsman. She passed away on August 8, 2012, in Texas City, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcus Holmes Hindsman and Alma Beatrice (Scarbrough) Hindsman; husband, Otis L. Hamon, Jr.; son, Lionel Hamon; brothers, James, Franklin, Marcus ""Bubba"" and Benny Hindsman; sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Nora Hollaway.

Jean is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Pete Aguilar, of Sweeney, Texas, Karen and George Schmidt, of LaMarque, Texas and Sharon and Robert ""Bob"" Moore, of Dickinson, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Otis ""Trey"" Hamon, III and Lisa Hamon of Livingston, Texas; grandson, Pete Aguilar and wife, Jennifer; granddaughters, Marian Aguilar, Chrissie Hale and husband, Kevin; grandson, Shane Moore and wife, Kara; granddaughter, Candice Moore; grandsons, Jason Hamon and Micah Read; and two great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Dorthy Jester, of McLeod, Texas; brothers, Richard Hindsman, of Vivian, Louisiana and Leon Hindsman, of Rodessa, Louisiana; sister, Billie Faye Hindsman, of, Vivian, Louisiana.
