Jean Lafferty, age 66 of Livingston, Texas passed away on October 24, 2013 in Lufkin. She was born on February 7, 1947 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Joseph and Mattie (Davis) Scott.
Jean is preceded in death by both of her parents; her daughter, Tessa Nan Lafferty; and grandson, Kevin Scott. She is survived by her husband, Luther Lafferty of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Crystal Scott of Livingston, Texas; sons, Keith Lafferty of Livingston, Texas, Eric Lafferty of Livingston, Texas, Deion Calhoun of New Caney, Texas, Lavon Calhoun of Katy, Texas, Doyle Calhoun of Tennessee, and Rocky Calhoun of Corrigan, Texas; sister, Betty Shotwell of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Jeana, Matthew, Tessa, Jaden, and Madison; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Services for Jean Lafferty will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Mitchell Murphy will be officiating, with the assistance of John Davis. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas.
Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, Saturday, October 26, 2013, also at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston.
