Obituary

Jennifer Deanne Grubbs, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on April 10th, 2020.  She was born to Billie and Michael Miller on February 26, 1975 and resided in Trinity, Texas, with her husband and three children.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Michael Miller, a baby brother and her grandparents. She is survived by her loving husband, Sam Grubbs, along with their three beautiful children, Michael, Sammie, and Cody; her mother, Billie Miller; her sister, April Conger; and her extended family of sisters and brothers in laws, friends and co-workers.

Jennifer grew up in Haltom, Texas, and she graduated from Haltom High School.  She was an excellent student and athlete and had many opportunities to attend college and play sports. Upon graduation, however, she decided she was ready for adventure. Jennifer enlisted in the United States Army and served her country for nine years. It was during her time in the service when she met her soul mate, Sam Grubbs, exactly twenty years ago in church on Easter morning, and they were married for 19 years. Immediately following her time in the Army, Jennifer obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Indiana University while raising their three small children.

In 2006, Jennifer and her family moved to Texas to be with her grandfather, and she began a career in finance with Church Street Financial in Livingston. She held her Series 7, 24, 52, 53 and 63 registrations and she specialized in portfolio management and analysis, retirement planning and regulatory concerns. She was the company's Compliance Officer and was an Officer of both Church Street Financial and First National Bank, Livingston. She had a brilliant mind in the field and touched the lives of every one of her coworkers and many beloved clients.  She was confident and highly intelligent and excelled in her career. Jennifer was a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and so much more.  She had a way of speaking exactly what was on her mind and had an adventurous and artistic soul.  She could build or make anything: she was an artist, woodcrafter, furniture builder, landscaper, electrician and problem solver. She constantly had a project going.  She was known to have in her earbuds listening to a mystery or fantasy while building something phenomenal just to see if she could.

Jennifer's life revolved around her love for God, her life she built with Sam, her joy in absolutely everything her children did and her talks with her mom to fill her in on her latest project.  Jenn loved to tell her friends about her children:  Michael with his amazing musical talents and intelligence; her daughter, Sammie with her big heart and athletic abilities; and her son, Cody, with his sense of humor, golf, and his personality that was identical to hers.

Jenn will be forever missed and loved.
