Memorial services for Jennifer Lynn Nelson, 73, of Bastrop, Texas, will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Jennifer was born June 27, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away on January 6, 2026, in Austin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Riggs and Dorothy (Thomas) Riggs; and brother, Mark Riggs.

She is survived by her husband, Lyle Nelson of Bastrop, Texas; daughter, Lisa Valderez and Jason of Livingston, Texas; son, Lucas Nelson and Angela of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Destinee, Hannah, Jayda, Bubba, Teddy, Elijah, Gus and Avery; brother, Chris Riggs and Celia of Roanoke, Texas; sister, Janice Elliott and Richard of Huntsville, Texas; and sister-in-law, Cindy Riggs of Kemp, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
