Jenny Katherine Quintin was born September 7, 1954 as Jenny Katherine Maffett. Jenny passed away at the Kingwood Medical Center on June 12, 2020. She was born to Captain Charles Richard Maffett Sr., who retired as LTC in 1966, and Mary Helen Wilson, a loving mother, in Augsburg, Germany. Being a military brat she lived in many places. She grew up mostly in Columbus, Georgia. She has a brother, Charles Richard Maffett Jr. On May 10, 1978 she married Michael Quintin in Bethesda, Maryland at the Latter Day Saint Washington D.C. Temple. Jenny graduated from Columbus College in 1977 with a degree in education. She then started working on a degree in Library Science. Jenny worked most of her in libraries all over Fort Richardson, Alaska, Baylor University, and the University of Arkansas. She was the first librarian in Onalaska, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, brother, and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. They are primarily located in Rochester, New York and Pineville, Louisiana. Though many are in other places too numerous to mention. Jenny is a member of the Livingston Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a Compassionate Service Leader in the Relief Society of the Church. She will be interred at the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
