Graveside services for Jerry Wayne Simmons, 80, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Simmons was born January 14, 1941 in Alto, Texas to parents, T. Pauline (Burns) Hall and Howard L. Simmons and passed away March 1, 2021 in Baytown, Texas. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, Texas in 1959. He was a veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Simmons retired after 30 years with the Exxon Refinery in Baytown and was an applications engineer in the oil movements control center. He is preceded in death by his mother, Polly Hall; stepfather, Butch Hall; father, Howard L. Simmons; sister, Sandy Antle; brother-in-law, Jimmy Antle; and uncle, Frank Burns.
He is survived by his daughter, Dena Scott and Marc of Livingston, Texas; nephew, Jay Antle of Lawrence, Kansas; daughter, Sonja Simmons; grandson, Chris Stafford and Fallon of Temple, Texas; granddaughter, Linsie Upson and Warren of Spring, Texas; granddaughter, Kaitlin Scott of Austin, Texas; grandson, Davis Moon; great-grandsons, Brady Upson and Karter Upson of Spring, Texas; and uncle, Bill Burns and Donna of Camp Ruby, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
