Funeral services for Jesse James Sims, 88, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Onalaska, Texas with Pastor Allen Bramlett and Bro. Don Wilkey officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00 a.m., in the church.

Mr. Sims was born August 19, 1930 in Belzoni, Mississippi, to parents, Thomas Henry Sims and Mary Ellen (Perry) Sims, and passed away March 1, 2019 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, J.W. Sims.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Betty C. Sims of Livingston, Texas; son, William D. Sims and wife, Shannon Ann of Sugarland, Texas; son, Barry L. Sims and wife, Trena of Odessa, Texas; granddaughters, Martha Phillips and Sarah Lynch; grandsons, Jared Sims and Benjamin Sims; sisters, Dorothy Green, Elaine Osbourne, Pearl Hampton, and Shirley Vickson; and brother, Billy Green and wife, Marguerite; along with numerous other family and friends.
