Funeral services for Jessie Lee Roberts age 87 of Livingston will be held Wednesday September 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Lindell Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow in the South Park Funeral Home in Pearland, Texas.

She was born July 29, 1923 in Hillsdale, Oklahoma the daughter of Ole Earl Johnson and Della Schultz Johnson and passed away September 19, 2010 in Clear Lake, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob K. Roberts, Mae Spraker, sister, Gale Johnson, brother and Robert A. Halik, her first husband.

Jessie Lee was the publisher of the Big Thicket Sentinel newspaper for numerous years and her favorite past time was fishing in the Lake Livingston area with her good friends Jimmie and Diretha.

She is survived by Mary Lee & Jim Heald, daughter and son in law of Kingwood, Texas, Robert & Carol Halik, son and daughter in law of League City, Texas, Albert Halik, son of Diboll, Texas, Robert Halik, grandson, Christopher Halik, grandson, Rana Sprencel, granddaughter, Resa Weaver, granddaughter, Mason Weaver, great grandson, Mitchell Weaver, great grandson, Marshall Weaver, great grandson, Lindsay Sprencel, great granddaughter and Tyler Sprencel, great grandson.
