Jessy Wayne Dunn

July 21, 1949 - December 21, 2012

On December 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM, Jessy Wayne Dunn, of Splendora, Texas, with his loving wife of 43 years, Debbie Jane at his side, departed from this world. Jessy was born July 21, 1949 in Anahuac, Texas to J.W. and Rosa Gustine Dunn. Jessy was a proud U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era. He married Debbie Jane Hill of Goodrich, Texas, on December 23, 1969, and loved her beyond measure until the moment he took his last breath.

Jessy was a very talented man and was successful in many fields of employment. Jessy started several businesses from, construction to Non-Profit organizations to help the less fortunate people in the Montgomery/Liberty County areas. Jessy is remembered by many to be a giving and caring man. He worked as a business owner in construction and traveled all over the world from different states to different countries. In 2008, Jessy traveled to Iraq as a Project Manager and was responsible for starting a place of worship for Third Country Nationals.

Jessy' life was overtaken by cancer after a hard fought year and long battle. During his fight, Jessy never lost hope in life or his faith in the Lord. Jessy leaves behind a great legacy as a husband, father, and grandfather. Jessy and Debbie were unable to have children so together they adopted two children during the 1970'. Jessy loved both of the children as no other man could love a child and never looked at them as being adopted. Later in 1991, they adopted another child and also raised and loved him the same way.

Jessy is preceded in death by his father and mother, J.W. and Rosa Gustine Dunn. Jessy is survived by his wife Debbie Jane Dunn, of Splendora, Texas; daughter, Donna Hogan, of Splendora, Texas; son, Shaun Dunn and wife Becky Dunn, of Woodville, Texas; son, Trevor Dunn and wife Cassie Dunn, of Splendora, Texas; Spiritual daughters, Tammie Wilson and Rhonda Eppinette.

Jessy is also survived by eight brothers and sisters; sisters, Rose Marie Tarver and Judy Levina Stafford; brothers, James William Dunn, Edward Leon Dunn, Wesley E. McMillian, Ronny R. Dunn, George Thomas Dunn, and Arthur Paul Dunn. Jessy was also a proud grandfather of eight.
