Obituary

Funeral services for Jett Brown, 80, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, January 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Wayne Bickley and Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Military honors will be provided by the VFW Honor Guard Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 1, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Brown was born July 23, 1933 in Polk County, Texas to parents, Charlie Monroe Brown and Panola (Moore) Brown, and passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013 in Livingston, Texas. He worked as a sand blaster and pipe fitter for South West Fabrication and Welding Company and was member of the Soda Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by parents; brothers: Willie B. Brown, Marlin C. Brown and Wade H. Brown; sisters: Ollie Brown Brown, Mae Brown Rogers, Dewey Brown Smith and Novie Kervin.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Shirley (Baggett) Brown of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Gwen and Mark VanEvery of Tuttle, Oklahoma; son and daughter-in-law: Jett Keith and Terrie Brown of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren: Jordan Denise Brown, Ryan Keith and Lauren Brown, Rhae Marie Brown, and Mark Matthew VanEvery; brother and sister-in-law: Louis and Dorothy Brown of Angleton, Texas; honorary sisters: Gracie Hood of Livingston, Texas, Judy Isaacs and husband Harold of Leggett, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Johnnie Loftin, John Steven Loftin, Aubrey "Shorty" Clamon, Robert Hambric, Laurence Oliver, John Johnson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ryan Keith Brown, Mark Matthew VanEvery, James C "Turk" Moore, Loy E. "Putney" Moore, Andy Hood, Calobe Isaacs, Jason Stephens, Louis Wayne Brown.
