Funeral services for Jim Grimes, age 79 of Rye, Texas will be held Friday December 10, 2010 at 1:00 PM graveside at Hopewell Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas with Rev. Pete Duggen officiating.

He was born February 19, 1931 in San Augustine, Texas the son of E.L. and Annie Bell Crosby Grimes and passed away December 7, 2010 at his home in Rye, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jean Grimes, brother Marshall Grimes and sister Evelyn Grimes.

He is survived by Lee Grimes, brother, Mabel Chandler, loving friend and companion, Robert Davis, son, Michael Shipp, son, Donna Ramsey, daughter, Michelle, Trinity, Leah and Laura, grandchildren, and Connie Davis, daughter in law.
