Funeral services for Jim Randall Romero, 37, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Indian Presbyterian Church in Livingston, Texas with Debra Battise-Kleinman, CRE officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in the Indian Presbyterian Church in Livingston, Texas.
Jim was born March 19, 1981 to parents, Michael P. Romero and Charlotte A. (Wilson) Romero, and passed away July 12, 2018 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jim and Nona Wilson; uncle and aunt, Jerry and Katherine Thompson; uncle and aunt, Webster and Rosa Thompson; and cousins, Bobby Thompson and Yvonne Whitethunder.
He is survived by his parents, Michael P. and Charlotte A. Romero of Livingston, Texas and Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico; wife, Joni Billie of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Amaya Nez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother, Lyndell Romero of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico; sister, Angela Williams and husband, Brandon of Livingston, Texas; brother, Michael Paul Celo of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico; sister, Natalie Celo of San Francisco, California; brother, Stephen Toledo of El Paso, Texas; sister, Rita Toledo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandparents, Joe and Marie Romero of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico; aunts, Georgia Romero and Wilma Gachupin both of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, and Barbara Toledo of El Paso, Texas; uncles, Benjie Romero and Peter Tafoya both of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico; God-brother, Garrett Toya of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; sisters-in-law, Nancy Pino of Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Tina Toledo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; lifelong best friend, Anthony Macias of Albuquerque, New Mexico; nieces and nephews, Antonia, Eliyana, Kobe, Leilani, Jenai, D'Yanni, Michael, Phillip, Adam, Kaelyn, Ashton, Mary, J.T., Chehreh, and Tony; cousins, Rowena Morgan and Jackie, Priscilla Thompson, Kim Williams, and Abel Thompson; and great-cousins, Ian, Josh, Chenoa, Brent, Faith, Amber, Marayah, Quanah, Delia, Leland, Raynella, Raeann, and Weldon; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
