Funeral services for Jimmie "Memie" Bailey, 83, of Riesel, Texas will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Gene Beamon officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held at 5:00 PM, Monday, April 7, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home.

Memie was born October 15, 1930 in Bedias, Texas and passed away on April 4, 2014 in Waco, Texas. She was employed by Texas Home Health and enjoyed caring for the elderly. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gooch and Lola (Leigh) Colburn; husband, Grover Bailey; brothers, Guy Colburn, Raymond Colburn, and Woodrow Colburn; sister, Eva Bender.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Beamon of Bryan, Texas; sons, James Wingard of Houston, Texas and Donald Wingard of Shiro, Texas; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Philips; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
