Jimmy Joe Ingram of Livingston Texas born June 16, 1938 passed away at the age of 86 on November 16, 2024 at home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was born in Nevada Arkansas to the parents William Owen Ingram and Allene Manning Ingram. As a child, Jim loved football, hunting, fishing, and his dog, Waggy. Jim attended Rankin High class of 1956. Afterwards, with a football scholarship, he attended Cisco Jr College. He went on to enlist in the U.S. ARMY where he was stationed in Germany, returning to reside in Midland, Texas in 1959 working for National Supply Co. It was then that Jim met his beautiful bride to be Mariellen Brown, while out with some buddies. Jim and Mariellen then wed on November 11, 1960 in Midland, Texas celebrating 64 wonderful years together. Jim worked and traveled between Oklahoma and Texas working in the oil business for many years. He retired in Atascocita, Texas, to then open a Copy Post and Ship, which they both ran together until 2003. In 2004, they both retired to Lake Livingston and has called this home ever since.
Remaining to cherish Jim's memory are his wife Mariellen Brown Ingram; son, Lesley and wife Lawana Ingram of Wortham, Texas; son, Ryan and wife Kelle Ingram of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren, Destiny, Jonathan, Landry, Holden and Bennett; great grandchildren, Dyson, Dylanie, Kallie and Jennings; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Proceeding Jim in death are both his parents; brother, Bill Ingram; son, Wesley Owen Ingram; and grandson, Joshua Ryan Ingram.
Jim will be remembered by many as the man with the biggest heart. A wonderful husband, father, coach, papa, and pops. He cherished his family very much. He also cherished his church family as he and Mary have always been very active members in the Methodist Church. He will truly be missed by many.
Services will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Methodist Church of Livingston at 2:00 pm. Gathering in fellowship hall proceeding services. 2801 US Highway 190 West, Livingston Texas 77351
