Funeral services for Jimmy "Doc" Lindsey, 75, of Shepherd, Texas, will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Les Albright officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Lindsey was born June 14, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama to parents, Charles Fredrick Lindsey and Berthea (Shempart) Lindsey, and passed away May 12, 2018 in Shepherd, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anita Louise Lindsey; son, David Earl Lindsey; daughter, Lisa Nannette Studensky; brothers, Richard Fredrick Lindsey and William Lindsey; and sisters, Rena May Adams and Mary Alice Duke.

He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Lee and husband, Shane of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Brandi Noelle Lee, Brittani Prestan Lee, and Shane Lee Jr. all of Livingston, Texas, and Lisa Renee Studensky, John Wesley Studensky, Alexis Crawford, and Alex Crawford all of Hull, Texas; brother, Charles Elmer Lindsey of Jackson, Mississippi; and sister-in-law, Judy Lindsey of Nebraska; along with numerous cousins, other relatives and friends.
