Funeral services for Rev. J.N. Brechen, 89, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Sunday, June 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Jose Flores and Bro. Matthew Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery in Liberty, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home.

Rev. Brecheen was born March 14, 1933 in Greensburg, Louisiana, to parents, Hollis Brecheen and Daisy (McGee) Brecheen and passed away on June 11, 2022 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Havis; son, Joe Havis; 2 sisters; and 6 brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Brecheen of Onalaska, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John McGouyrk of Alexander City, Alabama; sons, Darryl Brecheen of Huntington, Texas, David Brecheen of Onalaska, Texas, and Jesse Brecheen Jr. of Eupora, Mississippi; daughters and sons-in-law, Pansy and John Rosenbach of Union, Mississippi, and Denise and Jimmy Dees of Hull, Texas; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
