Funeral services for Jo Marie Young, 87, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, September 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will be at a later date in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Young was born June 16, 1930 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents, Robert Lewis Wallace and Susie Edna (Freeman) Wallace, and passed from this life Saturday, August 27, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas from complicaitons of brain cancer. She previously worked for the First Baptist Church of Kingsville, Texas. Jo and her husband Curtis were retired State Presidents of the Texas State Square Dance Federation. They volunteered with SAAFE House in Livingston, Texas sheltering abused women and FAITH supporting our troops with care packages.

She is survived by husband of 68 years, Curtis Young; son Dennis Young; daughter-in-law, Marianna Young; and grandson, Robert Young; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Billy Binns, Jack Smogaleski, Bob Hall, Robert Dibbern, Jim Whitman, Joe Hollis.
