Funeral services for Joan Barrington Schmidt, 81, of Groveton, Texas, will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hooper Chapel at First Baptist Conroe located at 600 N. Main Street, Conroe, Texas 77301, with Dr. Jeff Berger and Dr. Mel Brown officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., in the Glenwood Cemetery in Groveton, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 15, 2022, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m., before the service begins.

Mrs. Schmidt was born September 4, 1940, in Groveton, Texas, to parents, Baldwin Barrington and Ocie (Pool) Barrington, and passed away February 12, 2022 in Conroe, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Schmidt; sons, Paul Schmidt and Bryan Schmidt; and brothers, David Barrington and Tom Barrington; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
