Joan Elizabeth Wilson, age 73, of Woodville, passed away April 11, 2009 at Timberwood Nursing Home in Livingston.
Joan Was born December 5, 1935, in Roseau, Minnesota to Ina and Louie Carrier. She spent her childhood in Northern Minnesota. On April 13, 1957, she married Jerry Wilson and settled in Freeport, Texas. She worked for Exxon in Houston and First National Bank in Livingston, but the most important job she held was that of wife and mother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Joan is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years; daughter, Karen Moore and husband Jeff of Austin; son, Jerry Wilson, Jr. and wife Andrea of Woodville; grandchildren, Ben and Alex Wilson and Aidan and Iris Moore; brother, Loren Carrier of Council Bluff, IA; sister, Lucy Bolas of Columbia, TN; brother Mike Sonsteng of Albany, OR; and sister Juanita Stonebraker and husband Bill of Roseville, CA; sister in law Marteen Bonds and husband Harry of North Little Rock, AR and numerous nieces and nephew.
A Memorial Service will be held at Woodville Church of Christ on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 2:30pm.
