Obituary
Funeral services for Joe Allen Bowen, 92, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Livingston, Texas with Father Tarsisius Puling, SVD officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. A rosary will be begin at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Bowen was born March 23, 1925 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma to parents, E.R. Bowen and Jessie (Seybert) Bowen, and passed away July 23, 2017 in Onalaska, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Bowen of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Cindy Montgomery and Derrell of Conroe, Texas; son, Michael Bowen and Ann of Shenandoah, Texas; son, Mark E. Bowen and Linda of Liberty, Texas; grandchildren, Monica Seton, Boe Bowen, Becky Bowen, Joanna Bowen, Dustin Bowen, Shane Bowen, Joey Bowen, Mark Bowen, and Jennifer Bowen; and 13 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
