Obituary
Funeral services for Joel Eugene West, 76, of Livingston, Texas will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., prior to the service, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. West was born December 18, 1939 in Brevard, North Carolina to Emerson M. West and Mae (Green) West and passed away September 3, 2016 in The Woodlands, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents; eleven sisters and one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy West of Livingston, Texas; son, Rick West and Donna of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Patty Spurlock and Doug of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Steven Brooks and Ashley of Livingston, Texas, Jamie McGraw and Norma of Arlington, Texas, Sandi Walsh and Scott of Livingston, Texas, Jessica Lamb and Boyd of Livingston, Texas, Britian Spurlock and Erin of Livingston, Texas, Gerald Brooks and Brittany of Onalaska, Texas, Melissa Smith and David of Livingston, Texas, Shelby Ibarra and Alex of Lumberton, Texas; great grandchildren, Mason, Makayla, Collin, Tristan, Brianna, Sammy, Sydney, Brinley, Riley, Izzie, Addie, Maddy, Peyton, and Brodie; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Steven Brooks, Gerald Brooks, Jamie McGraw, David Smith, Boyd "BJ" Lamb, Alex Ibarra, Britian Sprulock, Scott Walsh.
