Funeral services for John Allen Ard Sr., 63, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beech Creek Baptist Church in Spurger, Texas with Bro. Jack Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger, Texas. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Ard was born on July 3, 1955 in Silsbee, Texas, to parents, Allen Ard and Jackie Mae (Tanton) Ard, and passed away November 19, 2018 in Onalaska, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Wanda Ard; daughter, Amber Lisenby; brothers, Elmer Lee Tanton and Charles Alfred Haynes; and sister, Lois Baird.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Ard of Onalaska; son, John Ard Jr. and wife, Kelly of Vidor; daughter, Angela Lankford and husband, Charles of Onalaska; son, James Ard of Onalaska; daughter, Hailey Lancaster of Onalaska; daughter, Brigit Mudd of Vidor; sister, Mary Landers of Silsbee; sister, Teresa Eddins of Broaddus; brother, Jimbo Ratcliff of Spurger; sister-in-law, Sharon Tanton of Warren; grandchildren, Gary Alan, Amber, Mia, Ryan, Amanda, Makynzee, Mikel, Tori, and Cheyann; and great-grandchildren, Kylie, Remington, and Bently; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
