Funeral services for John Walter Cobb, 69, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 3, 2023 at the First Methodist Church Corrigan in Corrigan, Texas with Mike Walters officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., at the church.

John Walter Cobb was born December 16, 1953 in Corrigan, Texas to parents John Vernon Cobb and Elaine (Handley) Cobb and passed away March 29, 2023 in Corrigan, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by his wife, Connie (Placker) Cobb of Corrigan, Texas; son, John Cobb; granddaughter, Tinsley Cobb; and sister, Liz Cobb, all of Lufkin, Texas; sister-in-law, Nyla Watson of Houston, Texas; brothers-in-law, John Watson, also of Houston, Texas; and Shot Placker of Livingston, Texas; sister-in-law, Merrie Ann Placker of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great niece, cousins and a host of friends.

Pallbearers: Gene Easley, Danny Havard, Scot Haynes, Gary Reagan, Robert Whitley, and Ralph Cockrell

Honorary Pallbearer: John Watson, Shot Placker, Bobby Smiley, Royce Olive, Ben Haynes, Buddy Dunn, Ken Hughes, Matt Hughes and Mark Summers
