John Dennis Dorsey

Funeral services for John Dennis Dorsey, 84, of Coldspring, Texas, will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Point Blank, Texas with Bro. Jim Southern officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Trout Creek Cemetery in Call, Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., before the service begins.

Mr. Dorsey was born February 12, 1942, in Port Neches, Texas and passed away August 27, 2026, in Coldspring, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Raymond Dorsey and Margaret (Sheppard) Dorsey; sisters, Carol and Paula; and brother, Jim.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Elizabeth Dorsey; son, John “Joey” Dorsey; daughter, Janet Leigh Dorsey; stepson, Craig Ryan Coker and Kim; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
