Funeral services for John W. Hamilton, Jr. age 85 of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday October 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Livingston with Rev. Mike Mayhew, Rev. Don Willis, and Rev. James Frazier and interment will be in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston.

He was born October 15, 1924 in Corrigan, Texas the son of John W. Hamilton, Sr. and Alberta Jones Hamilton and passed away September 28, 2010 at her home in Livingston. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister in law, Al and Lanita Chesson, John Slack, grandson, Bessie Bennett, mother in law and Alcede Bennett, father in law.

He is survived by his wife Betty Hamilton, Jan & Tommy Slack, daughter & son in law, Charles Hamilton, son, Ben & Sylvia Hamilton, son and daughter in law, Jeremy & Jessica Slack, grandson and wife, Justin Harris, grandson, Jeremy Hamilton, grandson, Jason Hamilton, grandson, Carol Ann Slack, great granddaughter, John Slack, Jr, great grandson, Samantha Wise, great granddaughter, Faith Wise, great granddaughter, Cade Sutherland, great grandson, Case Sutherland, great grandson, Earl & Shirley Hamilton, brother and sister in law and Mickie Bennett, sister in law.
