John William Holmes Jr. was born July 30, 1946 in Galveston, Texas to parents, John William Holmes Sr. and Christine Bartlett Holmes, and passed away May 29, 2017 in Houston, Texas. He is a Vietnam Veteran and proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He loved to fish, had a love for all animals, and was a jack of all trades. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gene W. Holmes. He is survived by his sister, Terry Gallup-Croft of Santa Fe, Texas.
