Funeral services for J.W. Moncrief, Jr. age 83 of Point Blank, Texas will be held Sunday October 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska with Rev. Dale Snell officiating and interment to follow in the Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst. Pallbearers will be James Miculka, Eric Miculka, Rob Nilson, Paul Barrett, Robert Barrett, David Fawcett, Randy Moncrief and Rodney Dale Headrick.

J.W. was born in Longstreet, Louisiana on November 12, 1926 the son of John W. Moncrief, Sr. and Rosa Ethel McLendon Moncrief and passed away October 21, 2010 in Point Blank, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lela Moncrief, daughters & sons- in-law, Cheryl & James Miculka & Diane & Robert Nilson, son, Paul Barrett, son, Robert Barrett, daughter, Angela Bush, sister, Blanche Herring, brother, George Moncrief. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Eric Miculka, Elise Huff, Collin Pfeiffer, & Ryan Pfeiffer. 2 several great grandchildren, Dylan Miculka & Adam Huff also survive.

Mr. Moncrief is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Lanette Moncrief, & Sister, Ora Jane Moncrief.
