He suffered through World War II. He saw planes and space ships flying, man walking on the moon, and televisions. He saw gas go from one penny a gallon to over four dollars a gallon, civil rights movement, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, lived through The Great Depression, the changing of many presidents, and had many personal tragedies of his own, just to name a few.
John went to be with Jesus on Christ''s birthday, we believe this alone makes him a chosen man and we were given a miracle. What a celebration he must now be having with Jesus, our mother, brothers and others gone before him!
We will all miss him, but Jesus called and John answered the phone. We will always have precious memories of this outstanding husband, father, grandfather, uncle and loyal friend.
Services will be Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Frank Hood officiating.
