Funeral services for John Bently Munson, 73, of Livingston, Texas, will be Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Blue Water emetery in Livingston, Texas.  Visitation will from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Munson was born October 19, 1947 in Houston, Texas to parents, Rex Bently Munson and Doris Estine (Sowell) Munson, and passed away March 29, 2021 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, Mr. Munson proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ann Allgor; and grandson, Garrett Saulters.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Munson. They were married November 11, 1995 and between them they shared 5 children - his sons, Shaun Bently Munson and Rex Lee Munson both of Segno; her children, Gerald Saulters and wife, Angelia of Votaw, Gary Saulters and wife, Crystal of Votaw, and Karin Paredes and husband, Valdo of Bellville. Together, they shared 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
