Funeral services for John Ira Owens, 77, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, July 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Durham officiating. Interment will follow at Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held the day of service, from 9:00-10:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

John was born November 30, 1946 to parents, William Gilbert Owens and Lucy Louise (Edwards) Owens and passed away July 1, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Fred Gately; sisters Margie Yarbrough, Mary Kitchen, and Joyce Pogue; granddaughter, Faith Jenkins; and grandparents Ettie "Granny" Owens and Ira "Granddad" Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Owens of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Charlene McKeone of Shepherd, Texas; son, Chad Owens and wife Wendy of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Michelle Jenkins and Dusty of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Mila Owens, Casey Owens, Patience Jenkins, Christian Jenkins, and Blane McKeone; brothers, Buddy Owens and Robert Owens; and sisters, Linda Karm, Ebbie Loving, Kathy Kissinger, and Mary Garner; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Shawn Owens, Sean McDonald, Trevor Pinder, Bubba Owens, Brandon Fuller, and Alan Yarbrough.
