A visitation for John Glyn Pou, Sr., of Coldspring, Texas, will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

John Glyn Pou, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Camilla Coves, Coldspring, Texas on Friday, August 6, 2021.

John was born in Tenaha, Texas and grew up in Orange.  He was a member of Cove Baptist Church in Orange.  He played the guitar and loved most music, including Southern Gospel Quartets.  He enjoyed wood working and adored his pets.  John served two years in the military as a Scout Dog Trainer.  After the military service, John enrolled at Sam Houston University and graduated with a BS in physics and math.  He completed all courses for his MA in physics.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Eva and Jesse Pou.  Survivors include his wife, Nita(Williams) Pou;  children, John Glyn Pou, Jr., Kathryn Pou Ford, Greg Pou and wife Beatrice; grandchildren, Aimee Soncrant, Megan Himel, Spencer Ford, Hannah Ford, Audrey Ford; great-grandchildren, Breyson Turner, Claire Soncrant, Tyler Soncrant and Georgia Himel.
