Obituary
John Lee Ricks 68 of Livingston passed away Tuesday June 23, 2009 in Humble. Funeral services will be Friday June 26, 2009 at 10:00AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Livingston with Rev. Carl Roth officiating. Burial will be at 2:00PM in the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble. Visitation will be Thursday June 25, 2009 from 5:00pm until 9:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
John was born January 20, 1941 in Columbus, Texas to parents John W. Ricks and Lucy Bock Ricks. He proudly served our country in in the United States Air Force. John loved to hunt, whether that be for deer, arrowheads or petrified wood, he also loved to fish. He also served his community, being a volunteer fireman and EMT in at the Stafford Fire Dept.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Ann Ricks of Livingston, daughters Diana Anthony of Houston, Valerie Ricks of Houston, and Dee Ann Adams of Conroe, son Bennie Schovajsa Jr of Tomball, and brother Douglas Ricks of Stafford. John is also survived by his adoring grandchildren Erica Anthony, Lauren Anthony, Meagan Ricks, and Heather Schovajsa.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bennie Schovajsa Jr., Brian Adams, Douglas Ricks, Matthew Ricks, Clyde Williams, and Cecil Settle.
