Obituary

John William "Bill" Seale, 80, of Livingston, passed away Sunday, March 24, at his home with his sons and wife at his side. Bill was born on December 26, 1943 to James Elliot Seale and Ariette Seale in Laurel, Mississippi.

Bill graduated from Laurel High School and attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford. After earning a business degree and serving in the Army National Reserve, he moved to Houston and began a career as a Natural Gas Broker eventually retiring from Shell Oil.

Bill married the love of his life, Debby Murray Seale in Houston on November 24, 1982. Bill and Debby moved to Lake Livingston in 1996 and then into town where they have resided since 2009. Bill has been a long-standing member of First Methodist Church and served in several volunteer positions, namely as the Wednesday night church bus driver for the children and youth who named him "The Donut Man."

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; beloved daughter, Marianne Seale Roney; and father-in-law Robert "Bob" Wayne Murray.

He is survived by his wife, Debby; sons, John Seale and wife, Andrea of Longview, Texas, Jay Seale and girlfriend Rachel Maddux of Lufkin, Texas; brother, James Elliot Seale and wife Ginger of Eldorado, Arkansas; grandchildren, Justin Smith and wife Brittney, Lenzi Roney and boyfriend Dalton Gieger, and Jacob Roney and wife Caitlyn all of Laurel Mississippi, Dylan Jolley and Gretchen Higgins of Dallas, Texas, Molly Seale and Bryan Seale, both of Longview, Texas, and Jackson Seale and Blaire Elliot Seale both of Lufkin, Texas; great grandchildren, Graycyn Smith, Lizzy Dean, Ryan Roney, and Anderson Wesley Jolley expected in August; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held Friday, March 29, at 12:00 pm at the First Methodist Church in Livingston with Reverend Joel McMahon officiating. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 am prior to the service.
