Mr. Seek was born on January 19, 1930 in Ravel, Missouri and passed away on May 8, 2014 in Lufkin, Texas. He worked as a mechanic and carpenter for many years and was a Baptist by faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Viola (Leech) Seek; brothers, Raymond Seek and Wilford Seek; daughter, Cathie White; and great-grandson, William Burks.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Seek of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Richard Fancher of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, John and Detra Seek, Jr. of Baytown, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Schuyler White of Sugarland, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Stephanie Seek of Livingston, Texas; son, Gary Seek and friend Deborah of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Tammy Dunsmore of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Rick Wahn of Livingston, Texas; brother, Charles Seek of Richmond, Missouri; brother, Kenneth Seek of Bloomington, Indiana; sister, Betty Borchers of Grandview, Missouri; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Matt Kyle of Hendersonville, Missouri; son-in-law, Lonnie White, Sr.; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Seek will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Ricky Fancher, James Seek, Brian White, Sky White, Casey Seek, and Robert Pennington, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Seek, Kenneth Seek, Lonnie White, Jr., Shane White, Samual Burk, and Aaron Burk.
