Funeral services for John B. Whitehead age 78 of Huntsville, Texas will be held Friday January 14, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating and interment to follow in the Carlisle Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Whitehead, Craig Whitehead, John Michael Whitehead, Levi Whitehead, Andrew Foster, Tyler Foster and Larry Sowell. Military Honors provided by VFW Post #8568 of Livingston.

He was born January 8, 1933 in Lovelady, Texas the son of Bennie Whitehead and Ettie Baker Whitehead and passed away January 11, 2011 in Baytown, Texas. He is preceded by his parents and his grandson, Jerry Wayne Webb.

He is survived by John & Cathy Whitehead, son and daughter in law of Channelview, Texas, Cheryl Sowell, daughter of Humble, Texas, Candice Sowell, granddaughter of Tyler, Texas, Robbie Whitehead, grandson of North Shore, Texas, John Michael Whitehead, grandson of North Shore, Texas, Levi Whitehead, grandson of North Shore, Texas, Meagon Lassetter, granddaughter of Anahuac, Texas, Carrie Morehead, granddaughter of Clear Lake, Texas, Tyler Foster, great grandson, Andrew Foster, great grandson, Andrea Turman, great granddaughter, Ethan Whitehead, great grandson Kelsey Whitehead, great granddaughter, Cydney Lassetter, great granddaughter, Hayley Lassetter, great granddaughter, Lofton Leeth, great grandson and Willie H. & Melva Whitehead, brother and sister in law of Carlisle, Texas.
