A gathering for John E. Williams Sr., 82, of Camden, Texas, will be held Sunday, April 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment will be held Monday, April 14, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. in the Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Williams was born October 8, 1931 in Camden, Texas to parents, Jessie Williams and Madie (Freeman) Williams, and passed away on April 8, 2014 in Camden, Texas. He retired from Champion International. He was a devoted and loving father. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Marvin Williams.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kersh Williams and Anita of Conroe, Texas; son, John Earl Williams III and Arnetra Chedikah of Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Jessie Williams Jr. and Clara of Houston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Queen Ester Preston and Ray of Camden, Texas; brother, Donald Williams of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
