Funeral services for John W. Wright, 87, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Linda Sims officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

John was born August 15, 1934 in Village Mills, Texas to parents, George Washington Wright and Mary Elizabeth (Kinard) Wright, and passed away February 25, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Cliff Edwards; and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Minnie Ann Wright of Ace; sons, Jimmy Wright and wife, Janine of Iola, and Dewayne Wright and wife, Stacie of Shepherd; daughters, Melinda Edwards of Ace, and Johnnie Ritter and husband, Joe of Willis; grandchildren, Brandon Edwards, Jemi Edwards, Jami Edwards, James Dwayne Wright, James Leon Wright, and Kendra Wright; along with 9 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
