Funeral services for Johnnye Mae Thompson, 90, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Friday, April 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Rev. Rick Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Mrs. Thompson was born January 3, 1928 in Koreth, Texas, to parents, Leo Xavier Ebner and Amalia (Janak) Ebner, and passed away April 8, 2018 in Onalaska, Texas. During her life, she loved to watch golf, football and baseball. She also loved to fish. Johnnye was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Porter V.F.W and the First United Methodist Church in Onalaska. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Carl Thompson; sister, Mary Whitley; brothers, Leo Ebner and Eugene Ebner; and second husband, Paul Cooper.

She is survived by her children, Terry Thompson and wife, Janine of Gonzales, Texas; Ralph Thompson and wife, Sally of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Richard Thompson and wife, Bobbie of Kingwood, Texas; John Thompson and wife, Paulette of Trinity, Texas; Adam West of Onalaska, Texas; and Jacquelyn Thompson of Onalaska, Texas; step-sons, Jeff Cooper, Jack Thompson, and Scott Cooper; step-daughters, Laura Tannery and Lyndal Harrington; 15 grandchildren; 29 ½ great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and dog, Kati; along with many other relatives and friends.
