Services for Jonathan Tyann Ruiz-Poncho, 21, of Livingston, Texas will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas and will be officiated by Bro. Kevin Hendrix. Interment will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023.

Jonathan was born October 12, 2001 in Livingston, Texas and passed away October 4, 2023 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Chap and Wanda Poncho; uncle, Mario Garcio; aunts, Melinda Hornsby and Metilda Garcia; and grandfather, Gabriel Ruiz.

He is survived by his mother, Minerva Poncho; father, Javier Ruiz; sisters, Maricela Ruiz-Poncho, Alicia Ruiz-Poncho, and Jennifer Ruiz; brothers, Nikoli Poncho and Jeremiah Guerrero; grandmother, Guadalupe Barrera; aunt and uncle, Amelia and Tom Mason; uncles, Yayo Johnson and Gabriel Ruiz Jr.; aunts, Susana Ruiz and Guadalupe Ruiz; and best friend Brentice Battise, all of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Brentice Battise, Jeremykk Battise, Evan Williams, Dorian Garcia, Nicholas Bunting, Caleb Wilson, Jeffery Williams, and Hedeia Battise.
