Joseph Wayne ""Joe"" Johnson age 50 passed away Wednesday November 4, 2009 in Lufkin. Funeral services were held Saturday November 7, 2009 at 10:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patrick Hitt officiating. Burial followed in the Old Big Creek Cemetery in Shepherd.

Joe was born October 22, 1959 in Houston to parents James Loraine Johnson Jr. and Jennie Ruth Dry Johnson. He married wife Alecia on March 19, 1999 in Shepherd. They attended the Piney Woods Cowboy Church, were he was a elder there. Joe was a loving husband and father, who loved being a family man.

He is preceded in death by his father, and one brother Michael Hollaway.

He leaves behind to Cherish his memory his loving wife Alicea Johnson of Livingston, mother Jennie Johnson of Livingston, sons Joe Curtis Johnson of Livingston, Travis Wayne Johnson of Conroe, Seth Paul Johnson of Livingston and Dalton Everett Johnson of Livingston, daughter Danielle Michelle Johnson of Livingston, brothers Curtis Hollaway, Phill Hollaway, Vernon Hollaway, James Hollaway, Steve Hollaway, Timothy Johnson, and Melvin Johnson, and his sisters Mary Hollaway Mosley, Beth Hollaway Kraus.

He is also survived by his grandson Hunter Kyle Johnson and numerous family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Justin Salge, Joshua Salge, Jacob Salge, Eric Burton, Heath Moore, Doug Autrand, and Tommy Everett. Honorary pallbearers were Jerriod Salge and the elders of the Piny Woods Cowboy Church.
