Funeral services for Joseph Samuel "Sambo" Martin, Jr., 87, of Moscow, Texas, will be Monday, May 3,  2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Barnum Community, Texas.  Visitation will be Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Martin was born January 15, 1934 in Chester, Texas to parents, Joseph Samuel Martin, Sr. and Sarah R. (Boyett) Martin and passed away on April 30, 2021 in Moscow, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

"Sambo" is survived by his wife, Irene (Foxworth) Martin of Moscow, Texas; sons, Joey Martin, also of Moscow, Texas, Ronnie Martin and daughter-in-law Malinda of Livingston, Texas, and Paul Martin of Houston, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Zachary Martin, Quaid Martin, Tanner Martin, Slayton Donald, Sutton Donald and Jaxson Pittman.
