Funeral services for Joyce Evelyn Applegate, 89, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Ray Durham and Larry Fondren officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Joyce was born October 17, 1935 in Centerville, Texas and passed away May 3, 2025 in Livingston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; Marshal Thomas White and Zelphia (Gibbs) White; and sisters, Laura Ivy Durham, Gay Nell Hartwick, and Della Davis.

She is survived by her sons, Rodney Glenn Barclay of Crockett, Texas, Marshall Murphy and wife Joanna of Spurger, Texas, Frank Norman Murphy of Livingston, Texas, and Jerry Lynn Murphy and wife Dana of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Paula Siekas and husband Tim, Vicky Hanes and husband Evan, Pamela Indihar and husband Kevin, Jana Paske and husband Scott, Sonny Barclay, Thomas Barclay, James Murphy and wife Payton, Jesse Murphy and wife Chi Anne, Jordan Laird, Lauren Murphy, Jennifer Murphy, Lori Davis and husband Wayne, Kari Beard and husband Greg, and Josi Chapman and husband Kyle; 18 great grandchildren; and sisters, Ella Brock of Henderson, Texas and Thelma Jo Carr of Tyler, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
