Funeral services for Joyce Ellen Atkinson, 74, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Doyle Hodge and Bro. Elton Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, December 20, 2013.

Joyce Ellen Atkinson was born on April 17, 1939 in New Caney, Texas to parents, Dude and Susie (Carlos) Willaby and passed away on December 17, 2013 in Onalaska, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Earl Atkinson; and mother-in-law, Nancy Hodge. She is survived by her children, Janice Copeland and husband James of Onalaska, Texas, Wayne Atkinson and wife Toni of Onalaska, Texas, Kyle Atkinson of Onalaska, Texas, Loveearl Hodge and husband Dennis of Onalaska, Texas, and Slader Atkinson and wife Rhonda of Pearland, Texas; grandchildren, Gary Penton and Amanda, Steven Atkinson and Shala, Michael Atkinson, Jeremy Atkinson and Dena, Detrea Copeland, Krisha Ward, Joe Copeland, Madelyn Barr and Morgan, Kailand Hodge, Dalton Hodge, Victoria Atkinson, and Blake Atkinson; sister, June Frye of Pollock, Texas; along with numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
