Graveside services for Joyce Elaine Smith, 87, of Spring, Texas will be held Saturday, December 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Segno, Texas with Bro. David Jones officiating.

Joyce Elaine Smith was born on November 19, 1934, into a loving family, and peacefully passed away on December 9, 2021.

She was raised in Barnes, Sheffield and Warren Pennsylvania.  Upon graduation from Sheffield High School in Sheffield, PA she attended nursing school and completed her LVN Certification.  After Nursing School she worked in various nursing facilities in Pennsylvania and private duty in Texas throughout her career.

Joyce was a woman of many creative talents and spent her free time painting and sewing for herself and loved ones.  Loved to share items she had created.  She loved to teach her Sunday School classes, as well as Vacation Bible school.

Joyce was a genuine, friendly person, always wearing a warm, easy smile.  She was a kind, patient, gentle, easy-going, and above all, loving soul.

She was the beloved wife to the late Henry Smith.  Daughter to the late Harriet and Wayne Whitton.  Loving mother of Rex Smith and Deena Urich.  Mother-in-law of Diane Smith.  Sister of Gloria Thomas, the late Ned Whitton, the late James Whitton, Dottie and Ned Zaffino, Karen Donaldson and Daryl and Linda Whitton.  Grandmother of Jennifer and Gerald Gott and Roxanne & Sean Conroy.  And nieces and nephews from her side of the family as well as several great-nieces and nephews.
