Joyce Fay Mitchell 74, of Livingston passed away Wednesday July 30, 2008 in Houston. Funeral services will be Saturday August 2, 2008 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in the West Tempe Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday August 1, 2008 from 5:00PM until 10:00AM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Joyce was born August 10, 1933 in Birthwright, Texas to parents Percy and Verna Kingry Perryman, whom preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death both of her husbands Raymond Meyer Sr., and R. L. Mitchell, two brothers J. W. Perryman and Leroy Perryman.

She is survived by her sons Carl Meyer and wife Lynell of Livingston, Raymond Meyer Jr. and wife Cindy of Goodrich, daughters Gale Franklin and husband William of Houston, and Nancy Randall and husband Donnie of Huntington, brother Shelby Perryman and wife Betty of Houston, and sister Marie Hunt of Atlanta, Ga. She is also survived by her 23 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Welsh, Curtis Welsh, Nick Meyer, Trey Meyer, Trey Weisinger, Matt Weisinger, and Terry Perryman. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Beaver, Jeremy Colvin, Eric Fries, Darren Bowen, George Sucarichi, Robert Mooney, Shelby Perryman Jr., and Derrick Smart.
