A graveside service for Joyce Marie Mobley, 80, of Livingston, Texas will be held Monday, March 31, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Holly Grove Cemetery with Richard Anthony Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 1:30-2:00 p.m., at the cemetery.
Joyce was born in Livingston, Texas, April 30, 1944, a child of WWII, and passed away March 21, 2025 in Conroe, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Douglas Warren and Gladys (Bailey) Warren.
Joyce attended Port Houston, Texas, elementary school. Her parents then moved to Jacinto City, Texas where she attended Woodland Acres Junior High. High school was at Galena Park, Texas where she joined the Drill Team. Joyce became the only sophomore Jacketeer to march in every game her junior and senior years.
After completing her higher education in business, Joyce became an active member in the National Association of Professional Women. In 2010/2011 she was their woman of the year.
Joyce lived and worked across the western U.S. She experienced the ash of Mount St. Helens and earthquakes in California. Upon returning to Houston, she worked as a human resource manager for a business with government contracts that required her to have government clearance.
Somewhere along the way, she found time to write and publish a novel, titled, "One Dragon at a Time."
Moving back to east Texas, Joyce began working for Peoples State Bank at 2 different locations, ending up in Livingston, Texas. She worked for Peoples State Bank for 18 years and had many funny stories to relate about "banking life."
After retiring, Joyce lived for several years in a community on Lake Livingston before returning to Livingston itself.
She is survived by her sister, Delores W. Echeveste of Livingston, Texas; as well as numerous Bailey and Warren cousins and their children, other loved ones and friends.
